What is Mega Millions Lottery?
Basic Game :
Players select five numbers from a set of white balls, typically numbered 1 to 70.
Additionally, players choose one number as the Mega Ball from a separate set of balls, usually numbered 1 to 25.
To win the jackpot, a player must match all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball.
Quick Pick:
For those who don’t want to choose their own numbers, there is an option called “Quick Pick.” The lottery terminal randomly generates numbers for the player.
Megaplier:
Some states offer a Megaplier option for an additional cost. This feature multiplies non-jackpot prizes by a specified factor (2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x) for those who opt for it.
The Megaplier does not apply to the jackpot.
Advance Play:
Players can choose to play for multiple drawings in advance by selecting the number of consecutive draws they want to enter.
Just the Jackpot:
Some states offer a “Just the Jackpot” option, allowing players to purchase tickets that only qualify for the jackpot prize and not the lower-tier prizes. This option typically comes at a lower cost.
Second-Chance Drawings:
Some states may offer second-chance drawings, providing players with additional opportunities to win prizes.
